We have been asked to place the following in the weekly news, it was received from the DDMRC Toowoomba.

Kevin Bradney’s home was broken into earlier this year and several model locomotives were stolen–

- Lloyds / DJH AD 60
  class loco [dual motored] numbered 6029
- Lloyds / DJH NSWGR C36
  class numbered 3642 [hand painted lining]
- Scratchbuilt NSW X200
  shunter fitted to a Tenshodo spud numbered X212 [with steel weights glued
  underneath]
- Austrains NR class in
  Indian Pacific colours numbered NR25
- Auscision Models EL
  class in AN colours numbered EL55
- Athern SD7 in Westrail
  colours [as a K class][no box included]

Redlands Layout at 2011 Brisbane Model Train Show

The RMRG is inviting applications for the First Redlands Model Railway Show hosted by
the

Redlands Model Railway Group(a subgroup of the Redland Museum)

at the Cleveland Assembly Hall, Smith Street, Cleveland, QLD.

(Located between the Redland Museum and Cleveland State High School.)

ADMISSION PRICES Adults $5 Pensioners $4 Children $1

SHOW TIMES: Saturday 15th from 9am to 5pm Sunday 16th from 9am to 4pm

The focus is mainly on layouts built in or constructed in association with people from the
Redlands area but depending on the numbers will include most likely a few
outside the area.

Designed to showcase the hobby to the people of the Redlands.

Expected to be 20 -30 layouts and 3 or 4 traders only as focusing on entertainment rather than commercial.

Wide variety of prototypes, scales and standards to suit all taste.

Redlands Model Railway Group. We are a special interest group of the
Redlands Museum at Cleveland which meets there at 2pm on the last Sunday of the
month. Catering for all scales and gauges. All modellers whether beginners or

Club Open Day with buy & sell 17th March 2012

As usual the kids were enthralled by these suspects on the club’s U-Drive Layout

Another big hit was the Loco Cab Simulator where the children were rocked and rolled as they operated the controls

Open Day Promotion at Hypermarket 10/03/2012

We were placed in the through walkway section to the supermarket next to
the Food Court. I would like thank the following members who helped on the day:-

My wife Joan who kepted me in line. Norm for his help which I would have been lost.

Ian Renshaw who came down and spoken to people and handed out leaflets and
allowed us to have a coffee. Alex Morris who also spent a large portion of the day
speaking to people and handing out Leaflets and allowed us to have lunch.

Thank you to all which lifted a load off my shoulders. Norm, Joan and myself had to pick up a van as the layout was 2cm to wide to
fit into the back of our vehicle.We arrived at the clubrooms and loaded the van and headed to the Hypermarket.

We arrive there at about 8.30 for a 9 am start and set up and the kids and parents arrived to find out what it was all about and

so the trains started to run. By 9.30 am we were all there and it was busy at sometimes and slow with others.

We feel it was a success as we gave out about 150 Open Day leaflets and also our BMTS leaflets and a number did not know about the show.

All those who were given the Open Day Leaflets said they would come and a large number were impressed that the kids could play trains on a layout.

If we get at least 10% we have done well and we also had enquiries about membership and we invited them to the club on Tuesday for a look around and to
meet the member and also help if they wish. We packed up at 4 pm and headed back to the clubrooms and took the truck back to the yard and then home happy that we were successful.

Your show committee met also to discuss the commemorative show guide and to discuss various other items
applicable to the show and we were given a talk by Paul Niethe who specialises in Health and Safety, Paul has kindly put together a draft document for our show and club which new legislation will require from 1/1/2012. He has also offered his services free of charge for which we are very grateful.

Please make him feel welcome.
